About our Mountain Bike Tours
Aimed at mountain bikers looking for a taste for adventure, we provide tested tour itineraries of our favourite places in the UK to ride, featuring all the best trails. Our tours are led by the best professional mountain bike guides in the industry (local area experts, trained in outdoor first aid and trail side repairs) with a leader to rider ratio of 1:6.
HOW TO BOOK
There are 3 different ways we take bookings:
ride@trailunknown.com or call Tom on 07885489062 private tour enquiries (4+ Riders)
Most of our tours are for private groups. We can tailor the tour to the number of days, location, rider level and give options for group accommodation and food. We are happy to support bespoke requests. Email ride@trailunknown.com or call Tom on 07885489062.
who are they for
Most of our tours are aimed at intermediate to experienced mountain bikers with a taste for adventure, though we do infrequently run beginner friendly tours. All tour pages will specify the skill and fitness level required. Generally we aim to be out from around 9am - 4.30pm, covering around 40km and stopping for good views and great cafes for lunch, so a suitable level of fitness and preparation with regards to kit and supplies is required. We are able to give coaching tips if requested and always encourage people to walk anything they are uncomfortable with. If you have any questions about if a tour is right for you, please email ride@trailunknown.com or call Tom on 07885489062.
WHAT IS INCLUDED
We provide tested tour itineraries led by a fine selection of the best professional mountain bike guides in the industry (local area experts, trained in outdoor first aid and trail side repairs). We can give recommendations for local accommodation and meals, but generally only include them in the tour price if it is a multi day point to point journey. Lunch / trail snacks are generally not included in the tour price. All tour specific info pages will specify what is included. Email ride@trailunknown.com or call Tom on 07885489062.
WHERE DO we OPERATE
Most of our tours are operated in English National Parks and Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have added Snowdonia in Wales and Torridon in Scotland by request of private groups. We can add new locations for private groups but may incur extra planning fees. Email ride@trailunknown.com or call Tom on 07885489062.
